Tell Your Senator to Pass The Brandon Act!
The Brandon Act
Meet Teri and Patrick Caserta, the parents of Brandon who died by suicide three years ago. They are asking for your help to end the deep sorrow and anger held by thousands of parents and loved ones who have lost a servicemember to suicide by urging your Senator to pass The Brandon Act in 2021.
Caserta left the Navy SEAL Training program after suffering an injury and expressed unhappiness that his career opportunities afterward were limited. His parents say their son was being repeatedly bullied, and his superiors failed to act when he displayed symptoms of depression. Caserta died on June 25, 2018, when he walked out on the flight line and jumped into a spinning helicopter tail rotor.
LULAC stands with Teri and Patrick and all of America's families who have fallen victim to the environments that cause their loved ones to take desperate actions leading to their loss of life.
Listen to their emotional pleas for your help.
